What K-Laser Can Do for You
Conditions We Help With
K-Laser is clinically effective for a wide range of injuries and chronic issues, including:
- Joint injuries and arthritis
- Tendonitis and bursitis
- Muscle sprains, strains and tears
- Foot and heel pain like plantar fasciitis and achilles tendinopathy
- Carpal tunnel and repetitive overuse injuries like tennis or golfers elbow
- Nerve-related pain and neuropathy
- Temporomandibular joint issues (TMJ)
- Post-surgical healing and scar tissue
- Diabetic ulcer or poorly healing wounds
What is K-Laser Therapy?
K-Laser uses precise wavelengths of red and infrared light to stimulate healing at the cellular level. It enhances circulation, reduces inflammation, and supports tissue repair — all without medication or invasive procedures.
It’s widely used in physical rehab, elite sports, and pain clinics around the world — and now available right here in Nelson.
What to Expect During a Session
Treatments are quick, gentle, and non-invasive, usually lasting 10–20 minutes. You’ll feel a warm sensation during the session, and many clients describe it as relaxing.
Some people feel improvement after just one visit; others benefit most from a short series over several weeks.
Why Choose Us?
K-Laser is trusted by clinics across Europe, the US, and Australia — and Inner Strength is one of only two clinics in New Zealand offering this medical-grade treatment.
Our experienced team combines laser therapy with chiropractic, massage, and personal training — helping you heal faster and move better, long term.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How Does It Work?
K-Laser therapy uses specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light to penetrate deep into tissues, stimulating cellular repair and regeneration. This process increases circulation, reduces inflammation, and accelerates healing at the source of pain. It’s a non-invasive, drug-free treatment backed by over 2,000 studies.
Is K-Laser therapy safe for everybody?
Yes, K-Laser therapy is FDA-cleared and has been safely used in medical and physical therapy settings. It’s a non-invasive treatment with minimal side effects. However, there are some situations where K-Laser may not be recommended, such as during pregnancy, if you have active cancer or tumors, a history of epilepsy, an active infection in the area requiring treatment, or implanted electronic devices like pacemakers.
Having metal implants or joint replacements (such as screws, plates, or artificial joints) is generally safe and does not prevent you from receiving K-Laser treatment. Your practitioner will review your health history to ensure the therapy is suitable for you.
How many treatments will I need?
The number of sessions varies. Acute injuries may respond in 4–6 treatments, while chronic conditions often need 6–12 or more. Once improvement is achieved, some people benefit from maintenance sessions every 4–6 weeks. We recommend discussing your needs and goals with your practitioner to ensure the best plan for you
Can I combine K-Laser with other therapies?
Absolutely. K-Laser is a perfect complement to chiropractic care, massage therapy, rehabilitation exercises, and other holistic treatments we offer at Inner Strength.
What should I expect at my first appointment?
Your first appointment is a complimentary 15-minute chat and assessment to determine if K-Laser therapy is right for you. During this time, we’ll review your relevant health history and examine the affected area. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the treatment site.
If K-Laser is suitable, your practitioner will work with you to create a personalised treatment plan. This usually involves a series of sessions, each building on the last, to support long-term healing and recovery.
Can I use my ACC Claim?
No, unfortunately K-laser is not covered under the ACC system at this stage.
